How to Separate Names in Excel ?

Let's go over the various methods for splitting names in Excel.

0 - Text to Column Method:-

The full names of cricket players from various countries are listed below. We'd like to get the first and last names.

The text to column method's steps are as follows:

Step 1 - Select the “full name” column.

Step 2 - Click the "text to columns" option on the Data tab.

Step 3 - The "convert text to columns wizard" dialogue box appears.

Step 4 - Click "next" after selecting "delimited" as the file type.

Step 5 - We must choose the type of delimiter used in the data. A "space" separates the first and last names in the "full name" column. So we select "space" as the delimiter and click "next."

Step 6 - When you click "next," the "cconvert text to columns wizard" box will appear. We select the cell in which we want to store the first and last names.

Step 7 - When you click "finish," the names appear in two columns.
